A Million Small Choices

For those of you who know me, know that I went to Catholic School for 13 years. Would you say I’m overly religious? No, not by any means, but I do follow God and understand Faith. I believe that, as humans, we have free will; we have the ability to make choices whether they are good and bad and have to deal with the consequences of those choices. I do, however, believe that God has a plan for us. It is not something he has set in stone, but more of a choose your own adventure type plan and every choice we make leads us down a different path.

Choice … Is the most powerful tool we have. Everything boils down to choice. We exist in a field of infinite possibilities. Every choice we make shuts an infinite number of doors and opens an infinite number of doors. At any point, we can change the direction of our lives by a simple choice. It is all in our hands, our hearts, and our minds.

We’ve all had to make choices everyday; these choices may be small like what to wear or what to eat for breakfast or they may be very big choices like do you change jobs or where to go for college.

I have had to make some major choices in my life. Some choices have opened the door to

amazing things. I met the love of my life with a choice and I had an awesome time in college with a tough choice. And then there were some choices I wish I didn’t need make, but I did and dealt with the consequences. But every choice that I made has led me to this point. The millions of choices that I have made up until this point has put me in this exact spot. Think about that? If I had made one other choice, my life may be completely different today.

We aren’t perfect, by any means, but remember that the choices you make today are putting you on a path that was designed for you and exactly where you need to be.

My challenge for you today is to look at the choices you have made. Are there any that you regret? In the immortal words of Queen Elsa…let it go. Whatever choice you made in the past put you in this exact spot today and this is exactly where you need to be.
